The event is open to the public, including teachers, related
services providers, paraeducators, administrators, superintendents, parents/guardians, local board members, families, students, advocates, attorneys, and legislators.

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is hosting a special education
summit with the theme of “Belonging,” which will bring together, educators, families,
students, as well as national, state and local leaders and experts to share perspectives on
the status of special education in Connecticut. The CSDE will highlight current and future
statewide initiatives supporting our families and educators in achieving positive outcomes
for students with disabilities ages three through 22.
